Kootsie Don partnered with the respected First Nations record label Bad Apples Music to distribute her stellar 2023 single, ‘Lemme Know’. They have joined forces again to release Kootsie’s latest offering – produced by Jayteehazard (Hilltop Hoods, Haiku Hands, Hermitude), ‘Go Stupid’ marks the beginning of a new era for the rising star, whose momentum has been building since her standout showcases at SxSW Sydney for FBi Radio and Awesome Black in 2024. Both performances cemented her reputation as one of the most exciting new voices in Australian rap: raw, real, and impossible to ignore.
Fans won’t have to wait long for more: Kootsie Don is currently working on her debut EP, tentatively titled ‘Play the Game’, slated for release in Q1 of 2026. If “Go Stupid” is any indication, the project promises to be a bold statement of identity, resistance, and rhythm.
