Nooky releases his new track ‘No Mercy’ coming from his Forthcoming EP ‘Lyrebird Park’
No Mercy follows the footsteps of Nooky’s recent releases, Always Was, Always Will Be’, ‘Mungo’ and ‘Jet’ feat Jamel. All tracks that will be featured on his upcoming EP ‘Lyrebird Park’ dropping early December. There are more releases on the way and the Yuin / Thunghutti man is not slowing down. The EP is shaping up to be a powerful record for Nowra’s one and only.
Nooky shares that “the track is not for the faint hearted, the lyricism in this track is a symbolic foot on throat mentality, you pick the context. To be the best, you’ve got to take out the best… that means ‘No Mercy’. The hip-hop rapper wrote this track with a tonne of influence coming from WWE Wrestling. Something that he still enjoys watching today due to the energy, the characters, and the stories of some of his wrestling heroes. He imagined this track to be the intro music to him walking out onto an arena.
Nooky sees music as a tool for social change. His goal is to inspire the next generation of First Nations people around the country and pay forward the support he’s received. He has been able to achieve this goal and is now the host of triple j’s First Nations music show – Blak Out.
His most recent single ‘Jet’ received a tonne of great support across music platforms including spot plays on triple j, being added to rotation on fbi radio, and a tonne of great playlist additions including Spotify’s New Music Friday, A1 Hip Hop, The Local List and Apple’s New Music Daily, #OnRepeat and The New Australia.
